House Republicans Elect Nathan Macias Freshman of the Year

Austin, TX - In a brief ceremony on the floor of the Texas House of Representatives today, Republican Nathan Macias (R-Bulverde) was elected "Freshman of the Year" by his Republican colleagues. Voted on by all 81 House Republicans, Macias was elected from among 14 eligible Republican Freshman representatives.

"I am humbled and honored to receive this award. I consider it a distinct privilege to serve alongside each and every member of the House on behalf of our constituents and the great citizens of Texas," stated Macias.

The Chairman of the House Republican Caucus, Rep. Frank Corte (R-San Antonio) added, "Rep. Macias has been a strong voice on the floor from Day One. His knowledge, passion and commitment to Republican principles have allowed him to be an effective member of the Texas House of Representatives."
