Decorated Veteran & Experienced Leader:
- Macias, a 3rd Generation Texan born and raised in San Antonio, is a retired Lieutenant Colonel (USAF) and commanded an Expeditionary Mission Support Group in the Middle East during Operation Enduring Freedom.
- Macias served as commander of the Civil Engineer Squadron at Dover Air Force Base, where he was responsible for the initial screening (for explosive ordinance and chemical/biological detection) of our fallen heroes from the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon, and the subsequent casualties of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
- Macias commanded Silver Flag, the prestigious USAF Civil Engineer Contingency Training Center.
- Nathan's military decorations include the Joint Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.
- Macias is the Vice President of a family-owned marketing and communications company where he helps Texas businesses grow and prosper.
- Macias earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M and holds two Masters degrees, one in Business and one in Public Administration.
- While at A&M, Macias was a distinguished Air Force ROTC scholarship student, a platoon leader in the Ross Volunteers, a member of the Silver Taps firing squad, and was Outstanding Unit Commander in the Corps of Cadets.
- Nathan and his wife Susan have been married over 23 years and have seven children: Caleb (19), Luke (18), Aaron (16), Grace (14), Leah (12), Hannah (8), and Abigail (5).
- Macias is committed to community service having served as a youth baseball coach, character trainer, and Bible teacher at Living Water Church.
